Jack and Megan, March 2009

May 2009

Well, we have been without a car for a while, which has been hard. Its in with the mechanic now, so hopefully soon, we will be back on the road. Duncan still has his van for work so we are blessed that that car at least is still going strong.
Naomi has celebrated her 1 st birthday and is 14 months now, running around, climbing on everything and has the most wonderful conversations. she is a great little dancer, says 'ice-block' (among other words) really well and understands everything we say, even if she doesn't always listen! She is on the waiting list at the gold coast hospital for an eye operation to improve her line of sight, so we are hoping we can get that underway as soon as possible, so as to start the recovery process while she is still young and learning so fast.
Megan is improving all the time, she will be 3 in September which is hard to believe. She talks alot better now, is very helpful and caring and plays along with all of Laurens games. they are great little friends, and she is a good big sister too, always yelling at Naomi when she is on top of the dining table again, and trying to involve her in her games. Megan did swimming lessons for term 1 of this year, but not having a car made it difficult, so we will pick that up again soon hopefully, maybe even get all of them going.
Lauren is enjoying Kindy and is very exited about turning 5 and for big school after Christmas.
She is very bossy, and demanding, but generally a beautiful girl. she is very helpful too, and has a wonderful smile. she is still a budding artist, always doing lovely drawings for us and is learning how to read and write.
Duncan made a wonderful puppet theatre for the girls a couple of weeks ago, they love it, he did a fantastic job, just using left over bits from work. (free projects are always the best!)
Mum and Dad recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, it was a lovely evening and such an achievment. alot of big celebrations this year... Monica will be turning 18 and Jessica 21 this year, so a few parties to be had yet!

All in all, we are happy and safe, Duncan is pretty safe in his job, which in these times is a blessing, and have everything in life we need.
